Weekly Market Recap: June 8, 2026

The Gunnison County real estate market delivered an interesting shift during the week of June 1 through June 7, 2026, with 63 new listings, 2 new sales, and $2,725,000 in total sales volume. Compared to the previous week’s 29 new listings, 7 sales, and $7,040,000 in volume, the standout story is inventory growth. New listings more than doubled, giving buyers one of the largest selections we’ve seen in recent weeks. While sales activity slowed temporarily, the surge in available properties creates exciting opportunities for buyers to explore more options and for sellers to showcase their homes during the busy summer season.

This week’s numbers suggest the market may be entering a transition period where inventory is building ahead of future buyer activity. Historically, increased inventory often leads to more transactions as buyers have additional choices and time to evaluate the market. With 63 fresh listings entering the mix, Gunnison County continues to demonstrate strong seller confidence and long-term market stability. As summer weather begins to settle in, residents and visitors can look forward to warmer daytime temperatures, cool mountain evenings, and plenty of sunshine throughout the week. Local communities are ramping up seasonal activities, including outdoor concerts, farmers markets, community gatherings, and recreational events. Visitor traffic also typically increases in June, bringing more people to explore Gunnison County’s neighborhoods, trails, parks, and local businesses. With summer in full swing, real estate activity often gains momentum as the season progresses, making this an exciting time to watch the market unfold.
