Weekly Market Recap: August 11, 2025

From August 4 to August 10, 2025, the Gunnison County real estate market kept its summer spark alive with 6 new listings, 10 closed sales, and a total sales volume of $7,140,013. While new listings were down from the previous week’s 17, the bump in total sales volume shows that buyers are still jumping at the right opportunities—and often for higher-value properties. Compared to last week’s $6.16M, we’re seeing a healthy boost in market activity that proves August isn’t slowing down just yet.

Mid-August brings plenty of energy to the valley with warm, sunny days in the 70s, making it perfect for exploring neighborhoods and attending local events like the Crested Butte Wine & Food Festival and free outdoor concerts under the stars. With summer inventory tightening and buyers eager to make moves before fall, now’s the time to act if you’ve had your eye on a property. Whether you’re buying, selling, or simply enjoying the last golden stretch of summer, the market and the mountains are both delivering plenty to smile about.
